Legislative Committee Formed
At the 2003 IMHA Annual Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan,
there was a round table discussion held regarding the Farm Bill. There
were many comments and suggestions on what the association should look
to work on for all milk haulers. A Legislative Committee was formed out
of this meeting. Along with the Executive Director, the following members
volunteered their efforts to help.
The first order of business is to work on the Federal
Excise Tax that is charged for the purchase of trucks. This group plans
on going to Washington D.C. to visit with Senators and Legislators about
the tax issue and other milk hauling issues. No date is set yet, but information
will be posted on this page regarding that.

would like to see worked on by this committee, please email any of the
